About the role

We’re looking for a product designer who is obsessed with great user experience and who has delivered exceptional experiences at scale in past roles. You’ll be our first designer, outside our founders, and take over control of our Figma designs across Web & Mobile – beyond execution; you will drive and help drive the direction of the product.

Yonder makes it easy to enrol, manage and scale financial benefits like insurance and retirement anywhere in the world.

Through our end-to-end integration with insurers and pension providers, we enable companies and employees to set up and enrol in minutes without ever having to speak with a broker or insurer. Our integrations with HR and finance tools make managing benefits completely automated. Plus, our employee mobile app gives team members ownership and flexibility to choose and manage their coverage and savings.

What you can expect from joining

• You’ll be joining us early in our journey. We’ve shipped our v1 products for Platform, Health and Retirement and we’re excited about the next step for both those existing products and designing the future of Embedded products to drive the future.
• Having a real voice & ownership - we’re a small, early-stage team, and when you join, you’ll be working across the whole system and making calls on how it should evolve
• Contributing outside of your role - could be helping us with some compliance deep dives to helping someone with an urgent issue; the early stages can be a little less defined
• Fittingly we believe you should be rewarded for having that outsized impact with equity that gives you ownership in not just the systems but also the company

What you’ll be working on

• Drive design for the company, including designing workflows, detailed interactions, unifying our design-system, high-fidelity visuals, and user testing; and ensuring quality implementation
• Challenge product direction and provide alternative solutions, while explaining and debating the reasoning behind your product decisions
• We’re building world-class consumer-grade products for businesses and their employees – our domain is inherently complex and we’re making it simple, frictionless and pleasing to use
• Work closely with the founders, along with product and engineering leads
• Examining data points and behavioural patterns, making product improvements where possible
